Summary of the role

 

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on-site physiotherapy services for one our prestigious clients in Devizes.
  • Advising and reporting to management on employee fitness for work and any adjustments required.
  • Assessing and treating a maximum of 10 patients per day in extended 45-minute treatment sessions, ensuring you get to spend quality time with patients to achieve maximal outcomes.
  • Responsibility for own case load within Occupational Health environments, working without direct supervision and within clearly defined operational policies and procedures.
  • Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, working within the ethical framework provided by the CSP/HCPC rules of professional conduct.
  • Perform physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies; use clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition.
  • Formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills e.g., manual physiotherapy techniques, patient education, exercise prescription, electrotherapy techniques and other alternative options.
  • Formulate accurate prognoses and recommend best course of intervention, developing comprehensive treatment plans.

 

Candidates shortlisted for interview will have:

 

  • BSc (hons) Physiotherapy degree
  • A minimum of 2 years post graduate MSK Physiotherapy experience
  • HCPC and CSP membership
  • Previous Occupational health experience and working towards ACPOHE membership desirable, but not essential (additional training and support provided)
  • Good communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Experience of conducting initial assessments, providing diagnosis, and prescribing management plans
  • Strong English language skills (verbal, reading and writing)
  • Good IT skills including word processing and experience with MS Office
