Physio Wakefield | Sano Physiotherapy

The Wakefield Physiotherapy Clinic is based inside NHS Homestead Medical Centre on Homestead Drive, just outside Wakefield city centre.

There is plentiful free parking at the surgery and disabled access throughout.

What to Expect:

The treatment you will receive from the physiotherapists in our Wakefield Physiotherapy Clinic will be ‘hands on’ and involve several sessions. For all new patients registered with Sano Physiotherapy, our team conduct an initial assessment, where they will screen your condition or injury, to gain an understanding of the lack of movement or pain in the problem area. By understanding the reason behind the pain or problem you’re having, they will be able to discuss with you the treatment techniques to be completed. In most cases, your treatment will begin throughout your first session with us. If you would like to find out more, we have gone into further detail about what will happen in your first physiotherapy session with Sano Physiotherapy. We assist a wide range of patients including self-referring patients, and med-legal clients.

Close Elliott Stead Role: Senior Physiotherapist Qualification: Bsc Physiotherapy (Hons)

Elliott has a keen interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and since graduating has worked for NHS based clinics with a focus on objectivity and improving using functional goals.

He joined Sano in early 2015 and is now a highly experienced Senior Physiotherapist.

'Elliott Stead was my physio for approximately 4-5 months. From the very first session he was brilliant! He made me feel comfortable and although very professional had a great sense of humour, which for me, helped massively, especially at a time when I was feeling a little negative. He was also great at explaining everything to me, such as, why certain exercises will help and what would be best for me.He was honest with me about my recovery and likelihood to return to sports fully, which also helped a lot! Would highly recommend.'

'Elliott has been helping me to thaw a frozen shoulder. After suffering with very limited range of movement for several months, I started to see a big improvement after doing the exercises Elliott set me. He is a friendly and caring physio who put me at ease - I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a physio.'

'Had a really great experience here. Was having a lot of pain from sciatica and after two sessions with Elliott I’m back to normal. He was really friendly and approachable and gave me a good range of exercises which helped massively!'
