Common Lower Limb Disorders

  • Plantar Fasciitis: One of the most common lower limb disorders, plantar fasciitis, can be exacerbated by prolonged periods of standing or walking on hard surfaces. Employees in industries such as retail, manufacturing, and healthcare are particularly vulnerable. To alleviate this, investing in ergonomic footwear, providing anti-fatigue mats, and encouraging regular stretching exercises can significantly reduce the risk of plantar fasciitis.
  • Knee Osteoarthritis: Sedentary jobs requiring prolonged sitting or repetitive activities such as bending and lifting can contribute to the development of knee osteoarthritis. Implementing ergonomic workstations, promoting regular breaks for stretching and movement, and providing proper training on lifting techniques can play a crucial role in preventing this condition.
