Close Matthew Taylor Role: Clinical lead physiotherapist Qualification: BSc (Hons), PGDip, Physiotherapy, MCSP, AACP, MLACP.

About

Matt qualified from the University of Leeds in 2004 having studied Sports Science and Physiology and then decided to further his studies, choosing Physiotherapy at the University of Huddersfield where he qualified in 2007 with a post-graduate degree. Since then he has worked at 2 different NHS Foundation Trusts, as a physiotherapist for Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, for Private Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinics and he now works for Sano Physiotherapy Ltd as our clinical lead and is based at our Pudsey clinic.

Matt has a wealth of experience working in football and cricket and has completed post-graduate courses in spinal manipulations and acupuncture (where he is a fully qualified practitioner and member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists). He has a particular interest in assessing and treating running related injuries and headaches.

He is also a member of the Medico-Legal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists where he is involved in report writing around medical negligence and litigation cases involving other physiotherapists.

Outside work Matt is a keen cricketer where he has played in the Bradford League for several seasons and is also a keen runner.

Testimonial

Matt is brilliant, the top of his profession. He sorted my knee last time when others had made it worse and this time he sorted the other knee with a minimum of fuss through easy to follow exercises.

Steve

As a runner I have had several injuries over the past few years which have been expertly dealt with by Matt on all occasions. His ability to pinpoint the problem quickly, with a high level of expertise & professionalism and subsequently provide a suitable rehab programme to sort the issue effectively, is a credit to himself & Sano. In 2014 I ran my first marathon, just 18wks after knee surgery, which wouldn't have been possible without the team at Sano.

Close Ammit Mistry Role: Physiotherapist Qualification: Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) - 2011

About

Ammit Studied Health Related Exercise and Fitness at Leeds Metropolitan University before qualifying as a physiotherapist at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2010. He has recently left this to work full time for Sano Physiotherapy Ltd at our Pudsey and Wakefield clinics.

Ammit has acquired the majority of his experience treating neck, back, shoulder and sports injuries. He has a real interest in ‘hands on’ therapy such as trigger point release and joint mobilisations and utilises this where appropriate in his treatment sessions.

Outside work, Ammit enjoys playing football and socialising with friends.

He is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)

Ammit is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

I would like to say a big thank you to all practitioners involved in my treatment. THANK YOU ALL!

Mrs A

Not only would I recommend particularly my practitioner Ammit, but will certainly re-book myself in should I establish a need. He was exceptionally thorough, effective and efficient in everything he explained and did on my recovery pathway.

Close Paula Colomo Albera Role: Physiotherapist Qualification:

About

I am originally from Spain, although I have been leaving in York since 2015.

I have been a qualified physiotherapist since 2010, working mainly in private practice.

My expertise is more related in sport injuries, such as shoulder problems, knees and ankles. I love rehabilitation and re-education, working with functional movements and strengthening exercises in order to bring people back to physical or day to day activities.

I love sports! I run, swim and go to classes at the gym, and I also played volleyball for more than 20 years until last year.

It’s time to socialise, and cooking is something I really enjoy too. Having my friends around is always a good excuse to invent something new or, why not, to cook some Spanish tapas!

To summaries, if you ask me why do I love my job, my answer will be:  ‘The more I learn the more I am fascinated about how our body works. And I can tell you there is not better satisfaction than helping people to get better

Testimonial

Always very professional yet friendly. Gives clear expert advice in easily understood layman's language.

Close Adam Hind Role: Physiotherapist Qualification: BSC Physiotherapy

About

I studied a BSc in Physiotherapy at Leeds Beckett University, completing placements in musculoskeletal out-patients, major trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, elderly medicine, community respiratory and may best of all at Leeds United Football Club! I also have an ITEC level 3 diploma in Sports Massage qualification and have worked previously in neuropediatric physiotherapy.

I chose to specialise as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist due to it being linked to my prior interests in sport and fitness. I get the most out of managing alterative sports injuries such as those from rock climbing, martial arts and other outdoor pursuits. I also enjoy treating individuals with challenging and physical job roles such as the Police, Ambulance Service and Firefighters. I find both these require me to think in more of an outside the box approach in terms of planning and delivering treatment.

I am a keen motorcyclist and love to head out on country and back roads at the weekend. I also spend a lot of my free time in the gym or running outdoors.

I am the owner of not just one, but two pet snakes! A Boa Constrictor and Royal Python.

Testimonial

I attended 6 sessions at the Sano Clinic, Cleckheaton. The Physio, Adam Hind, diagnosed the problem with my knee from the outset, set out a plan of treatment and administered physio from day one. From real problems walking and very limited movement I progressed in 6 weeks to almost normal use of the joint. Adam’s approach and explanation of the treatment gave me confidence to carry out the exercises each week, building up to daily routines that resulted in a much quicker than I could have expected progress. Very professional service.

I can fully recommend Adam and this clinic.

About

I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2008 from Leeds Metropolitan University. Following graduation I worked in the NHS for 8 years and then more recently moved into private practice. Much of my experience lies in musculoskeletal where I have treated a range of work related and sports injuries as well as providing rehab programmes for many post-surgical knee, hip, shoulder and hand clients. I have a special interest in Pilates and core strengthening and love to work with clients looking to improve their posture, balance and function, either to reduce pain or improve sport performance. My personal interests include attending spin classes, days out walking and cycling with family and baking the occasional peppa pig birthday cake!
