We were commissioned to conduct a 6-month onsite physiotherapy pilot at Holbeach to focus on reducing absenteeism and facilitating a smooth RTW for absent employees as data gathered before the pilot demonstrated an average length of absence from work of 44.7 days per employee.
From the 77 employees referred into the onsite pilot physiotherapy service, data collected demonstrated these employees returned to work on average within just 17.6 days of their assessment and required just 1.7 treatment sessions to facilitate a return to work.
Data collated identified 2 ‘at risk’ groups of employees working in both the bakery and assembly departments where Back in Action were able to recommend proactive and preventative strategies to address the MSK-related risks these directorates faced.
Back in Action also created bespoke content aimed at empowering employees in manual roles to self-manage their lower back symptoms, which featured in Bakkavor’s “Just Made” company magazine and received exceptional feedback from management and staff.
