Pooja Samant

Role: Physiotherapist

Qualification: BSc Physiotherapy

Pooja has been a qualified physiotherapist since 2018. Having gained experience in India for a couple years in Musculoskeletal, Cardiorespiratory and Neuro physiotherapy, she completed her masters in the United Kingdom in 2022 and has been working with Sano since. Despite her preference for Neuro physiotherapy in the start of her career, over the period of 6 years she has developed a great interest in the field of Musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is determined to grow her skills through constant professional development. Having based her masters research on pain sciences her treatment strategies are predominantly focused on client centred functional development and to help you know and manage your pain better.

Really great experience with Sano following back and neck injuries sustained in a car crash. Sessions at convenient times with quick but useful exercises prescribed for between sessions. Quick improvement of condition through to complete recovery.

Alina Khan

Role: Physiotherapist

Qualification: BSc Physiotherapy and MSc Contemporary Physiotherapy Practice

I’m licenced physiotherapist with 4+ years of experience in the field. I have done my graduation as Doctor of physical Therapy from Pakistan and Masters in Contemporary Physiotherapy Practice from University Of Lincoln, UK.
I have wide experience in the domains of MSK, orthopaedics, paediatrics, neuro rehabilitation, and geriatrics. My approach combines evidenced based practice with personalised care to address unique needs and goals, whether it’s recovery from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or seeking to engage performance.

I was referred to Sano physiotherapy through work after developing shoulder pain. Alina was my therapist and quickly found the cause of my problems, helped me while in clinic and also gave me at home exercises to do alongside visiting for physio sessions. Very beneficial and highly recommend Alina.

Muhammad Ammar Naveed

Role: Physiotherapist

Qualification: DPT & BSc Physiotherapy and MSc Applied Sports and Exercise Science

I specialise in helping patients manage pain, improve mobility, and return to the activities they love through evidence-based assessment and tailored rehabilitation plans. I’m passionate about providing patient-centred care and creating a comfortable, supportive environment in every session.
Outside the clinic, I’m someone who loves travelling, exploring new cultures, and capturing moments through content creation. Living in the UK has given me the chance to discover beautiful places, and I often share my experiences on social media. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me on a long drive, at the gym, or planning my next trip with my wife.

I was very happy with my experience at Sano physiotherapy following a car accident causing me whiplash. The staff were very friendly and have worked wonders on my back and helped me to a full recovery, I can’t thank them enough.

For all new patients registered with Sano Physiotherapy, our team conduct an initial assessment, where they will screen your condition or injury, to gain an understanding of the lack of movement or pain in the problem area. By understanding the reason behind the pain or problem you’re having, they will be able to discuss with you the treatment techniques to be completed. In most cases, your treatment will begin throughout your first session with us. If you would like to find out more, we have gone into further detail about what will happen in your first physiotherapy session with Sano Physiotherapy.
