3. Do I need a Referral to See a Physiotherapist?

No, to see a private physiotherapist such as us you do not need a referral from a GP, you can book your assessment straight away! However, if you are seeking treatment through the NHS or insurance, a referral from your GP or consultant may be required.

4. What Happens During a Physiotherapy Session?

A physiotherapy session with us usually includes:

  • Initial Assessment: Discussion of symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle.

5. How Many Sessions Will I Need?

The number of session you may need will vary depending on your condition and progress. Some individuals may see improvement after just a few sessions, while others with chronic or more complex issues may need longer. Remember, every journey looks different and progress varies from person to person.

6. Does Physiotherapy Hurt?

Physiotherapy should not be painful, but you may experience mil discomfort, especially if you are working on an injury or stiff joins. Our physiotherapists will ensure that your treatment is as comfortable as possible while still being effective.

7. What Should I Wear to My Appointment?

It’s important to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for movement. If you are being treated for a lower-body issues such as your knee or hip, shorts may be advisable. For upper-body concerns, a vest top can be useful.

8. Can Physiotherapy Help Prevent Injuries?

Yes! Our physiotherapists not only treat injuries and conditions but they will also provide guidance on injury prevention through strength training, flexibility exercises, and proper movement techniques. 11. What Insurance Do You Accept?

If you are coming to us from an insurance referral, we accept referrals from the following: Bupa, Nuffield, Axa and Aviva
