Meet the Clinic Team

Pooja Samant

Role: Physiotherapist

Qualification: BSc Physiotherapy

Pooja has been a qualified physiotherapist since 2018. Having gained experience in India for a couple years in Musculoskeletal, Cardiorespiratory and Neuro physiotherapy, she completed her masters in the United Kingdom in 2022 and has been working with Sano since. Despite her preference for Neuro physiotherapy in the start of her career, over the period of 6 years she has developed a great interest in the field of Musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is determined to grow her skills through constant professional development. Having based her masters research on pain sciences her treatment strategies are predominantly focused on client centred functional development and to help you know and manage your pain better.

Really great experience with Sano following back and neck injuries sustained in a car crash. Sessions at convenient times with quick but useful exercises prescribed for between sessions. Quick improvement of condition through to complete recovery.

Rebecca Armitage

Role: First Contact Practitioner

Qualification: BSc Physiotherapy

I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2003, starting my career in the NHS. I have since worked as an MSK physiotherapist both in private practice and more recently as an FCP in the NHS.
I love the diversity of the type of presentations we see on a day to day basis.
In my spare time I like to go out on my mountain bike or go for a run exploring our local area and spending valuable time with my family.

Due to my job, I suffer with ongoing backpain. Have received very professional and first-class treatment. I would highly recommend!

What to expect.

The treatment you will receive from the physiotherapists in our Sheffield Physiotherapy Clinic will be ‘hands on’ and involve several sessions.

For all new patients registered with Sano Physiotherapy, our team conduct an initial assessment, where they will screen your condition or injury, to gain an understanding of the lack of movement or pain in the problem area. By understanding the reason behind the pain or problem you’re having, they will be able to discuss with you the treatment techniques to be completed. In most cases, your treatment will begin throughout your first session with us. If you would like to find out more, we have gone into further detail about what will happen in your first physiotherapy session with Sano Physiotherapy. We assist a wide range of patients including self-referring patients, and med-legal clients.
