Pilates – An exercise system that focuses on stretching and strengthening the whole body to improve balance, muscular strength, core stability, flexibility and posture. It can help with rehabilitation after a number of injuries or pain including upper back and neck pain, lower back issues, whiplash injuries and knee and ankle pain.

Sports Massage – A ‘hands on’ treatment technique employed by Chartered Physiotherapists which involves the mobilising and manipulation of the bodies soft tissue. Used in treatment for pain relief, feelings of relaxation, reduction in anxiety, invigoration, increase in flexibility, prevent or relieve DOMS, increased blood flow and to break down scar tissue.

What to Expect:

The treatment you will receive from the physiotherapists in our Chapel Allerton Clinic will be ‘hands on’ and involve several sessions. For all new patients registered with Sano Physiotherapy, our team conduct an initial assessment, where they will screen your condition or injury, to gain an understanding of the lack of movement or pain in the problem area. By understanding the reason behind the pain or problem you’re having, they will be able to discuss with you the treatment techniques to be completed. In most cases, your treatment will begin throughout your first session with us. If you would like to find out more, we have gone into further detail about what will happen in your first physiotherapy session with Sano Physiotherapy. We assist a wide range of patients including self-referring patients, and med-legal clients.

Testimonial

'Arel has been marvellous in diagnosing and treating a longstanding and frustrating shoulder injury. From dry needling to cartwheels(!), his innovative and fun approach to rehab has been really refreshing, and most importantly successful. I'm now pain free and have enough strength and stability in my shoulder to able to climb again, something I've not been able to do for close to a year. I can't recommend him highly enough.''

'Arel made me feel very welcome and I felt at ease from the beginning. I was terribly worried inside and in so much pain when I started the physio journey, however Arel constantly reassured me. The exercises and dry needling really helped along with home exercises and advise.'

'Great service from Sano, especially Arel who has helped me with my back issues on the run up to the London Marathon. Feeling much stronger than I was before and am ready to do this. Can't recommend highly enough, fabulous and thank you.'

Close James Senior Role: Physiotherapist Qualification:

About

Testimonial

'I would absolutely recommend Sano Physiotherapy in Pudsey. I went in a few months ago, after suffering a lot of discomfort with a painful shoulder, that was affecting my work and sleep. I felt a huge improvement in my mobility even after the first session. James was amazing. He asked lots of questions, listened to me and explained brilliantly what was going on with my shoulder. The hands on therapy made such a difference and after a number of sessions, I am almost 100% recovered. James also gave me helpful exercises I can do at home to continue to strengthen my shoulder. Best physio experience I've ever had!'

'I cannot recommend this practice highly enough, from making the appointment with Linda, all the way through the staff were efficient and helpful. The physiotherapist was thorough very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you James for the exercise programme and your expertise. I would definitely use them again.'
