    Meet the team

Close Image of Leeds Physio Matt Taylor smiling Matthew Taylor Role: Clinical lead physiotherapist Qualification: BSc (Hons), PGDip, Physiotherapy, MCSP, AACP, MLACP.

Matt qualified from the University of Leeds in 2004 having studied Sports Science and Physiology and then decided to further his studies, choosing Physiotherapy at the University of Huddersfield where he qualified in 2007 with a post-graduate degree. Since then he has worked at 2 different NHS Foundation Trusts, as a physiotherapist for Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, for Private Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinics and he now works for Sano Physiotherapy Ltd as our clinical lead and is based at our Pudsey clinic.

Matt has a wealth of experience working in football and cricket and has completed post-graduate courses in spinal manipulations and acupuncture (where he is a fully qualified practitioner and member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists). He has a particular interest in assessing and treating running related injuries and headaches.

He is also a member of the Medico-Legal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists where he is involved in report writing around medical negligence and litigation cases involving other physiotherapists.

Outside work Matt is a keen cricketer where he has played in the Bradford League for several seasons and is also a keen runner.

Matt is brilliant, the top of his profession. He sorted my knee last time when others had made it worse and this time he sorted the other knee with a minimum of fuss through easy to follow exercises.

As a runner I have had several injuries over the past few years which have been expertly dealt with by Matt on all occasions. His ability to pinpoint the problem quickly, with a high level of expertise & professionalism and subsequently provide a suitable rehab programme to sort the issue effectively, is a credit to himself & Sano. In 2014 I ran my first marathon, just 18wks after knee surgery, which wouldn't have been possible without the team at Sano.

Close Elliott Stead Role: Senior Physiotherapist Qualification: Bsc Physiotherapy (Hons)

Elliott has a keen interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and since graduating has worked for NHS based clinics with a focus on objectivity and improving using functional goals.

He joined Sano in early 2015 and is now a highly experienced Senior Physiotherapist.

Outside work he enjoys cycling, basketball and football and also admits to being a little bit of a television geek!

'Elliott Stead was my physio for approximately 4-5 months. From the very first session he was brilliant! He made me feel comfortable and although very professional had a great sense of humour, which for me, helped massively, especially at a time when I was feeling a little negative. He was also great at explaining everything to me, such as, why certain exercises will help and what would be best for me.He was honest with me about my recovery and likelihood to return to sports fully, which also helped a lot! Would highly recommend.'

'Elliott has been helping me to thaw a frozen shoulder. After suffering with very limited range of movement for several months, I started to see a big improvement after doing the exercises Elliott set me. He is a friendly and caring physio who put me at ease - I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a physio.'

'Had a really great experience here. Was having a lot of pain from sciatica and after two sessions with Elliott I’m back to normal. He was really friendly and approachable and gave me a good range of exercises which helped massively!'
