Brilliant and very understanding service provided by Sano. This was all brought together by Tony Jose who along the way has been very helpful and supportive with my physio. A great relationship between practitioner and client and I would highly recommend.

I completed by BSc in physiotherapy in 2004 at Northumbria university before spending 9 months in the NHS working in a MSK position. I moved back to Nottingham in 2006 to take up a role with PhysioDirect where I spent the best part 10 years working alongside some wonderful staff. I left the full time position to take up a role with the Nottingham Panthers in 2016 and since 2019 I have been working with Notts County academy as the Head of Medical. I completed my masters in football science and rehab in 2023 from UCLAN and I am about to start my doctorate in elite performance. Away from work I’m a keen runner and play golf on a regular basis.

Absolutely outstanding service from start to finish of my treatment, highly recommended, thanks for all your help!

Dominic Wheatley

Role: Senior Physiotherapist

Qualification: BSc Physiotherapy

Known as Dom, I proudly serve as one of the senior physiotherapists at Sano Physiotherapy. With a dedicated tenure of three years at Sano, my professional journey has taken me across clinics in Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester. As a Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist, I specialise in assessing and treating a diverse range of patients, spanning occupational health and medical-legal settings while building a vibrant private caseload. In my role as a senior physiotherapist, I find immense fulfilment in imparting knowledge, guiding, and leading junior physiotherapists through to themselves becoming senior physiotherapists.

Beyond my contributions to Sano Physiotherapy, I proudly hold the position of lead physiotherapist for Kimberley Miners Welfare Football Club and Hucknall Cricket Club. Through these roles, I’ve encountered and successfully managed a range of acute and chronic injuries and conditions, honing my expertise in player rehabilitation. Away from the professional realm, I am a passionate cricketer, having won the Nottinghamshire Premier League title three times with Kimberley Institute Cricket Club, I continue to actively contribute to Hucknall Cricket Club as a current player.

After a Road Traffic accident, I was booked for physio with Dominic Wheatley. Dominic’s approach was excellent, he communicated effectively, listened to my needs whilst conducting the planned therapy. Dominic demonstrated a professional and friendly manner working with me to meet my planned goals. Excellent overall service.

Oliver Cicek

Role: Physiotherapist

Qualification: BSc Physiotherapy and MSc Musculoskeletal Sport Science and Health

After completing my undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy, I pursued a masters degree in Musculoskeletal Sport Science and Health, which deepened my interest in sports injuries. My approach to patient care is rooted in the biopsychosocial model, ensuring that I address not only the physical aspects of a condition but also the psychological factors that may contribute to or cause it. By doing so, I aim to promote long-term recovery and implement preventative strategies to help my patients maintain their well-being and future injuries.

Outside of work I am a black belt in Taekwondo, I enjoy running and love discovering new hiking places, so I am always open to new recommendations.

FANTASTIC!!! From my first session to the last, from walking into clinic I was to be made very at ease. Very welcoming. On going appointments were very easy and accommodated around my work life.
